Amy Bucciarelli, M.S., ATR-BC
In 2010, on my birthday, I was faced with the inevitable moment of examining my life and wondering "Where am I heading" and "When will I finally know who I am?" In search of answers to these questions I was drawn to my roots as an art therapist - challenged to explore my inner-self through art-making. In the process of determining how to embark on this journey of self-discovery, my friend suggested that I should post my artwork on a blog so I could share my inspirations with others. I decided my mission was to create a series of mandalas throughout the course of a year. My friends, family, and fellow bloggers kept me accountable as I created one mandala each week for 52 weeks.
Initially, the mandala blog was largely a reflection of my personal life experiences and relationships. I used my professional practice to color the knoweldge and self-understanding that was influencial to The Mandala Mission.
Again, encouraged and inspired by friends and family, in 2012, I have renewed my Mandala Mission. This time I have opened my blog to the public and I am inviting you to help the Mission grow. You are invited to create your own mandalas and add them to my mission. Click here http://mandalamission.blogspot.com/ to find out more about how to contribute or to just view how the collective responds to the individual. Happy mandala making and enjoying!
